Spring Fling COVID requirements

Spring Fling is classified as a Mega-Event (1000+ participants), which means Sacramento County COVID mandates apply. As of now (December), proof of vaccination or a negative test result will be required to attend the event. The negative test result must be within 3 days of the event. Additionally, masks will be required indoors for the event. Valid ID must also be presented with the test result or vaccination record.

Here is more information from the committee:

"The guidelines stipulate that proof of vaccination is required OR a negative COVID test within 72 hours. So, we will be requiring said proof, with a photo ID. Each attendee will then be provided a wristband for the entire weekend. In addition, the Doubletree, as well as the county, stipulates that a mask will be worn inside.

We, as a committee will not be the COVID police. We will be providing masks for those who do not have one. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the conference. So please know, this is not an Alcoholics Anonymous issue nor is a Spring Fling issue. We do not get to control what is being required of us.

Again, those are the requirements today. We are not going to try and guess what the county will change or not change before the conference happens. If things should get better, great. If not, we will toe the line and adhere. Let’s all try and practice ‘Principles before personalities.'"
