D 6-10 INTERGROUP REPORT: October 3, 2019
Hi Everyone! I am Joe C the Chair for Intergroup D6-10. Starting with office info:
• Our Al-Anon Information Services (AIS) office is located at 5429 Palm Ave, Suite A, Sacramento, CA. Our office hours are Mon – Thurs 10-3 pm. Closed Friday – Sunday. (916) 334-2970. aisbookcenter@yahoo.com.  I'll bet you are wondering what’s been happening in D6-10 in 2019 - let’s check it out!
• We had a group of 35 volunteers staff an outreach table at the the CA State Fair on July 18 and 25. Yes, THAT State Fair! Thanks to the bilingual volunteer group!
• The AIS office coordinated delivery of both cash and literature donations to District 3 after the Camp Fire and they were well received. Thank you for all the donations!
• There were two institution Al Anon birthday parties held in June: one for CSP
Solano and one for Folsom Prison. Also, Christie attended the Institutions
conference to represent Intergroup. Way to go Institutions volunteers!
• Our AIS employee, Patty, created an Alateen Table card for our Alateens to easily display info on all Alateen meetings!
• We approved a proposal to change the format of our printed schedule to be sorted first by location area and THEN by day of the week. Easier to find relevant meetings!
• Spring Fling was organized and orchestrated by a large group of volunteers and was a resounding success! Thank you to everyone who participated!
• Our Share and Care newsletter continues to go out on a monthly basis, providing our groups relevant info about all the happenings in all 5 Districts. Thanks Andrea!
• Our AIS office remains focused on providing literature/support for all of the Districts, as well as coordinating the after-hours phone line. Thank you Patty & volunteers!
• We continue to pursue volunteers for Intergroup and are searching for Chair,
Secretary and Treasurer candidates for positions starting Jan 1. Encourage your
friends! We do have a new Alternate Share and Care Editor - thank you to Deanna for volunteering and bringing your talents to Intergroup!
